"Hamjambo?

"I started learning Swahili with Nairobi Swahili because being a business woman in Kenya it helps me to be able to interact with my business partners. The homework after our lessons made it easier for me to grasp the language faster."

"I've been taking Swahili lessons with Nairobi Swahili for almost 4 years. What I like about learning with them is that they adapt the teaching style to your wants and needs. They can do formal grammar lessons with homework if you like that, or focus more on conversation if you like things a bit more casual. In my lessons, we always do 20-30 mins of conversation at the beginning, which I've found very useful in practicing speaking and listening. They are also very receptive to teaching whatever you are struggling with. Often, I hear something on the street or in a song and bring it up and they help me understand. This also helps the information stick because it relates to my life. They are creative with lessons too - sometimes we read stories or the newspaper or listen to a song. I'm not fluent yet, but I can understand a lot of Swahili these days and express myself. I'd definitely recommend you try a lesson!"
