I teach all ages and all skill levels with introductory, intermediate and advanced courses. Tutoring is tailored to fit your schedule and you can learn from convenient locations such as your home or office. This is great for short-term visitors or those in transit. I also offer personalized Kiswahili tutoring for children to help them avoid the difficulties of adjusting to a new language at school.

Besides tutoring, I also offer accurate English/Kiswahili translation and editing. I have provided translation for a number of clients including the United States Embassy.

Testimonials

Here’s what some of Nairobi Swahili’s students have said about their tutoring experience.

Before this course, I had no idea what my subordinates said in Kiswahili during meetings or general conversations. Now I can interpret such statements and wayward employees have no chance of taking advantage of me as a foreigner. — Agrippa

I enjoyed learning Kiswahili from Nairobi Swahili. My tutor was patient, gave good examples, and adapted the lesson to suit my needs for the one month I lived and worked in Nairobi. On a tour of the coast, I was able to bargain for paintings up to Kenya shillings 1500 instead of Kenya shillings 3000. — Smandych
